Health Professional Jurisprudence Modules

The NLCHP in partnership with the Colleges and  funding support from Health Canada has developed e-learning materials pertaining to health professional practices of traditional Chinese medicine acupuncture, audiology, dental hygiene, medical laboratory technology, respiratory therapy and speech-language pathology in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador.

The modules provide an overview of the regulatory framework (laws, regulations, by-laws, standards and policies) for a registrant's practice in Newfoundland and Labrador, and the registrant's obligations under the framework.

Individuals seeking registration with the NLCHP as of January 2015 will be required to complete the Jurisprudence Module for their specific health profession as part of the requirements for registration. The modules are now available for general viewing and public access using the following directions.

Please open the link provided to the Practice NL portal and choose the appropriate health profession. To access the Jurisprudence e-learning module, open the education portal and follow the sign-in application.
