Quality Assurance Program- Continuing Education and Professional Development

Section 21. (2) outlines the components of the QA Program and notes, “the quality assurance program shall include continuing education and professional development and shall be designed to promote (a) continuing competence; and (b) continuing quality improvement.”

NLCHP’s Continuing Professional Development recording tool is available through our NLCHP Portal. All materials pertaining to your College requirements are available in the portal and on your college website. Registrants should read the material prior to entering information in the recording tool.

The QA committee of the NLCHP with input from each professional college develops and maintains a Continuing Education and Professional Development program and uses the program to monitor compliance based on standards and competencies required for all the designated professions currently regulated in the Health Professions Act (2010).

The QA committee of the NLCHP keeps a record of all related statistics related to all activities of the committee including audits, assessments and general compliance with standards and competencies across the health disciplines designated under the Health Professions Act (2010).
